DEPARTMENT OF EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
JUNIOR COLLEGE DIVISION

The ability to foster and develop pre-school children is very important, especially for women.
Therefore, early childhood development education is one of the most important fields of study for women as future mothers and educators.
The Early Childhood Development department, begun in 1955, was the first such training center established in the Tohoku area.
The attached kindergarten facilities were opened at the same time to provide practical experience for the students.
The level of instruction, supported by a full complement of equipment and facilities, results in a high level of achievement for the students and the program.
The facilities available for practical experience at the attached kindergarten complex and various other locations, coupled with the guidance students receive from experienced staff at these facilities, work to make the department competitive on a national level.
