The study of home economics is the study of human protection.
With this idea as the foundation, the home economics major seeks to find the best way of thinking about the meaning of "family,"
what the role of family is, and what the characteristics of the family should be.
Especially at a time when we often observe changes in traditional family relationships,
it is important for us to learn about the different facets of family management.
Thus it is that students develop their knowledge and skills with a variety of studies related to the essentials of food,
clothing and shelter.
Specifically, students will attain knowlegdge and social welfare skills important to an ageing society, and , also improve their ability to use digital media to live in, and enjoy all that the information era has to offer.
